Epic - Kids' Books & Reading (Unlimited Books For Kids) App Overview
Today kicks off our educational app series, which over the next several weeks will cover all the top educational apps for children. Today we begin with Epic Unlimited Books for Kids, which is also known as the Netflix for children's books.
It's available for 499 a month, and that gives you access to over 200 children's books, along with audio books. You can download it on the Google Play store, the App Store and on Kind handle. You can also access Epic through the website.
Let's Get to the Epic App Review
When you open up Epic for the first time, tap New Reader. Tap Next. If you're a parent looking to obtain a family account, tap Parent. If you're an educator, tap Educator.
Once you're complete tap next. Select the age of your child. Epic provides books for children up to the age of twelve. Click Next. You will then be prompted to select your child's favorite subjects.
Once you've selected a few, tap Next. Enter your email and a password. Next, you'll be prompted to start your free month membership. Epic gives you the ability to search books by title, author, or keyword.
They also give you the ability to filter the book by type. Just select offline use.
Not all books have this option, but it's available in Some. Let's check it out. It some of the cool features that I enjoy, and I think you will enjoy as well, include the ability to view your child's reading log.
You can also see which books your child has read. Epic also rewards badges for different accomplishments in order to motivate your children to read more you it.
Features and Highlights Of Epic - Kids' Books & Reading
Epic offers audiobooks, videos and read to me books in addition to standard books. The browse section allows you to view book titles by type and subject. It. Another feature Epic offers is the ability to create your own library by making a book a favorite.
All books that you favor are added to My Library. As a parent, you have the ability to sign your child books to read.
These books will show up in the child's mailbox on the left. To complete this task, switch profile and log on. As a parent, open a book and you will find Add To at the bottom left of the screen. Select Add To Collection, create a new collection, then name your collection and give it a description.
If you want to share your created collection with the Epic community, keep the block, check and click Create. Next, click my library, then assign. Now you can assign that book to one of your children.
Ratings
You have the ability to add up to four children in one profile. We evaluate apps using the following criteria layout, originality, Usefulness. Epic scores four and a half stars for parents and layout.
