GroupMe Official App - Quick Overview
Today we're going to introduce you to an app that allow you to group message your contacts across multiple platforms. It allows you to set up groups and receive notifications of new messages through the app or send individuals who aren't using GroupMe SMS messages.
Let me Introduce you to GroupMe. GroupMe is very user friendly and allows you to connect several ways, including through your Facebook, Microsoft or Email login.
It allows you to send custom emojis shared through YouTube, Twitter, Instagram or Gifs. It is simple to add individuals to groups using their phone number or email address.

As you can see, it brings us to the Group menu, where you can view the groups that you belong to and recent Direct Messages.
At the top right corner of your screen, click the plus button. You'll be presented an option to start a new group or start a direct message.
Click start new group. Here you can name your group and send an avatar photo.
Click Next. You can add members by the information already stored in your contact list by name, phone number or email. If you're physically close to a friend who has already Installed GroupMe on his or her device, you can select Find GroupMe Users.
Once you're finished adding people to the chat, Click Done.
If you want to start a direct message, select the plus in the top right corner of screen again and select Start Direct Message. Select Individual from your contact and Click Done.
If you want to Direct Message with someone who is not in your contact, you must first add them to your contacts, then select them. Sending Messages to GroupMe members is very easy. Once you're inside the message window, just begin typing your message and hit Return.
Once you're complete, if you want to send media, click the plus button. You will be presented. Photo Library. Location media search where you can send gifts, images and videos or a calendar event to your group.
If you want to send an emoji, just click Smiley Face. There you'll be able to send Group emojis and also download Season emojis for upcoming holidays. GroupMe also has an emoji store where you can buy custom emojis.
If you want to participate in Group Me test messaging without using the app, just add your phone number to the group. Once you're added to the Group, you'll receive a text message notification and you begin Group messaging text using SMS Messaging you also have the ability to change different settings in App using the Settings tab.

GroupMe fares well on its appearance and layout, leading to three stars. GroupMe's interface is very user friendly. But doesn't offer any new design features that separates it from other messaging apps. Once again, GroupMe scares well on originality coming in at three stars.

Microsoft, who now owns GroupMe, offers other apps such as Skype and MSM Messenger that allows Group messaging, but not to the level of what GroupMe offers you. GroupMe scores three stars for usefulness.
