I'm going to show you how to fix your phone if you're not getting 5G Network on your phone for some reason now this is happening to users that updated their phone or it might just randomly happen to you but there's a couple things you can do actually to fix it so let's dive right into it so whenever you're having this Fair issue of not getting 5G Network the first thing you should do is simply go ahead and do a network a refresh and in order to do a network refresh.
It's really simple all you're going to do is turn on airplane mode momentarily just like that and turn it back off and you saw those Network that you had should have premature Refresh on your phone here the quickest way to check if you're not having Five geofluids results the other thing along with that is that you also want to make sure that if you're in a certain area that you move to a different area to see.
If the coverage changes sometimes what happens with a lot of carriers is that they might not have coverage or 5G on a specific area so you just have to move around maybe somewhere else to see if the the network changes for you as well now after you have done that it's time to actually move on to some other settings that you can take a look at and the very first one we're going to do going into settings here.
When you do get into your settings here you're going to want to go to your cellular under the settings option in the cellular option there's a couple options here but under the cellular data option we wanted to make sure we click on that once we click on that right at the very top here.
You'll see here the first option for voice and data so under voice and data we want to ensure that the two options either or your selection is which is 5G Auto or 5G on either or you can toggle between both of them you can read a little bit about them but essentially you don't want just LTE.
If you're looking for 5G Network so avoid LTE it should be 5G or 5 the auto or on either of those two options pretty much will give you 5G but if you do LT as you can see your 5G goes away so keep on either one of them Auto is probably the best one is it is optimized for performance now.
Now moving on to some other settings that you want to take a look at back to the cellular data option is data mode now data mode is also important because you want to make sure that either again you're on allow more data on 5G which is if you're looking for 5G all the time would be recommended but the standard is the default option.
Which you want to stick to what you don't want to do is the very last option which is low data mode so avoid again the flow data mode so stay on standard but then switch to LTE allow more data on 5G to see if that helps you with your issue as well so the couple things to look at now after you have done all that.
It's time to now oh go ahead and do other things here on your phone here and the one thing that you want to do whenever you're having connectivity issue along with that your network is on a phone iPhone 14 of course doesn't have this on the US model but if you have a older phone that has a SIM capability you want to go ahead and take the SIM card out and put it back on in and all you'll do is take your semi ejector tools like this one here go ahead and pop it in just like that for a moment.
You should see your sim right there take it out and put it back in just like that and hopefully what will happen is it will re-initialize your network for your carrier as well helps if you're having any issues with it along with that couple other things around the SIM card is that if you're using a SIM card from a carrier make sure you get the latest SIM from them so over time the Sim also updates.
So if you're using a really really old one 5G wasn't even introduced your sim might and not even support 5G that SIM card that you have so make sure to contact your carriers if you can get an updated SIM card as well so and the other thing I want to mention about 5G is that it's key important thing to note that iPhone 12 and later started supporting 5G.
So if you have an iPhone 11 or older iPhone that do not support 5G unfortunately you're not gonna get 5G so key important thing is that you have to have iPhone again a 12 or later for 5G support camper battle compatibility so now moving on to other things you want to check on your phone which will show you on this phone here um just because this just between the models it's about the same this is iPhone 14.
Now let's put this phone down for a second iPhone 14. Pro here but the thing that we want to do is again with phones is that we want to do a force restart in order to do a force restart it's simply you're going to press the volume up and release it press the volume down release it and then hold the side button here so volume up volume down and then I hold the side button and what this is doing is a nice force restart as you can see.
I'm holding the side button here until the screen goes completely black I'm gonna wait till the screen goes completely black and after it goes black you'll see the Apple logo and then you let go of that button and again this is a first restart.
Now this will shut down the phone completely and then reload the code again this will not delete any of your personal data like photos videos apps anything like that all of that will be there now this is just if you're having any software related issue impacting 5G from not working on your phone this will resolve that issue for you now after you have done that and you're still having the issue the next thing you want to do in your phone is go into your settings again and this time you're going to go to General.
Then go all the way downwards this transfer reset iPhone you click on that and then click on the option for reset the reset that you want to do is the second option where it is reset network settings now resetting network settings before you do it again this will not delete any of your personal data like photos videos apps anything like that what it will reset is like if you have saved password connected Bluetooth devices.
All of that will give reset and also will help any sort of network related the issue that you might have now this will take about maybe a minute or two to do but really quick and easy to do but something you want to do if you're still having issues with your phone now after you have done a network reset and you're still having issues with 5G Network the next thing you want to also ensure that your phone is up to date which is really important.
When it comes to any sort of software related issues on your phone in order to do that you're going to be in settings you're going to go to General you're going to go to software update and see if there's an update available out there if there is update available you're going to see where it says download and install you're going to click on it and make sure you update.
That update as well and generally you want to give yourself about half an hour to 45 minutes to do that also make sure that your phone is connected to a good Wi-Fi if you're selling your data of course like 5G isn't working because you want to make sure that you can connect to internet and download that update and also make sure your phone has at least 50 or more charged.
Somewhere between half an hour to 45 minutes to do that update as wall now after you have done all of that and you simply can't get 5G it's time to contact your carrier and ask them if there's any issues with not getting 5G some carriers still don't support 5G across all of the area coverages.
So it's something to contact and if see if they can do something on their end as well to help resolve the issue on your account with 5G as well so hopefully this article is helpful for you.
